Delete your account
Effective September 9, 2026
You can delete your FleetLobby account yourself, from the app or the web. This page explains where to find it, what happens to your data, and how to ask us to erase it sooner.
1. Delete it from the mobile app
Open FleetLobby, tap More in the bottom bar, then Settings, then Delete account. You will be asked for your current password and to type DELETE to confirm. No email or support ticket is needed.
2. Delete it from the web app
Sign in at app.fleetlobby.com, open the account menu in the top bar and choose Settings. The Delete account card at the bottom asks for the same confirmation: your current password, and the word DELETE.
3. What happens straight away
- Your account is deactivated immediately. You cannot sign in again, and the app stops showing your vehicles, income, expenses, reminders and reports.
- You are signed out on every device, including any phone or browser still holding a session.
- If you are the account owner, the team members you created are deactivated with you, on the same schedule.
4. What happens to your data afterwards
Deactivated account data is kept for up to 90 days. That window exists for dispute resolution, fraud prevention and legal obligations. It is not a period in which the account can be used.
After it expires, an automated job erases the account:
- Your vehicles, trips, income and expense records, expense allocations, categories, reminders and to-dos are deleted.
- Connected mailbox credentials, sync history, failed-import excerpts, review consent and correction records are deleted, and provider access is revoked where supported.
- Your uploaded files (receipts, documents and vehicle photos) are deleted, including the stored files themselves.
- Your sign-in history and any remaining sessions are deleted.
- The account record itself is anonymised: your email address, name and phone number are destroyed and replaced with placeholders, so nothing identifying you remains.
- Billing and tax records are kept for the period the law requires, as described in the privacy policy.
- Deleted data may persist briefly in encrypted backups before those are overwritten on the normal cycle.
5. Ask us to erase it sooner
You do not have to wait for the 90 days to pass. Send a request through the support form while signed in, and we will action the request within the period the law allows, normally 30 days. The same address handles requests for a copy of your data or a correction to it.
6. Before you delete
Deletion cannot be undone once the retention window ends, and the app cannot restore your records for you afterwards. If you want to keep your history, export the reports you need from the app first.
